Yes! Cardholders who are full-time students can show a current student ID to receive 10% off their purchase every day. Cardholders with a valid military ID can receive 10% off their purchase every day.
Our return policy does not apply to items purchased at a Goodwill Outlet Store, where all sales are final.
Goodwill Industries of Michiana can only accept returns from purchases made in our territory locations listed here. All Goodwill agencies are independent nonprofit organizations with distinct policies; therefore we’re unable to accept returns from purchases made in other parts of the state or country.
Goodwill is one of the only resale establishments that allow customers to return clothing and wares merchandise for in-store credit.
Goodwill allows customers 30 days from date of purchase, to bring back qualified items to receive an in-store credit if the following criteria is met:
The customer who purchased the merchandise is the same as the person returning it for in-store credit.
The customer can provide the Good Points loyalty card used for the original purchase or state-issued photo identification.
The customer has the original receipt (must be done within 30 days of purchase)
The returned merchandise must have the original Goodwill tags and barcodes attached (no exceptions)
Customers have 30 days from the date of issue to utilize in-store credit.
In general, all Goodwill Industries of Michiana, Inc. retail stores follow the in-store credit policy. We do understand that customers and donations can be as unique as our inventory so, we allow each store manager to make individual determinations when unique experiences arise.

Yes, financial donations and donations of items in good condition are tax deductible. The U.S. Internal Revenue Service requires you to value your donation when filing your return. To get started, download our donation valuation guide, which features estimates for the most commonly donated items.
When you drop off your donations at Goodwill, you’ll receive a receipt from a donation attendant. Hang on to this receipt. At the end of the year, you can use it to help you itemize deductions on your taxes.

Yes, Goodwill and our recycling partners offer a free computer and computer peripheral recycling service.
We accept any brand of used computer equipment—working or not—through the computer recycling program. We also accept just about anything that can be connected to a computer. You will receive a tax receipt.
