Goodwill in Action:

The Academy: Kendall’s Story

Kendall McGee is a CTE Construction Program graduate who turned a moment of uncertainty into a life-changing opportunity. As a single father of three daughters, Kendall knew he needed to find a career that would provide both stability and purpose. While working at the Tolson Center, he sought a new direction, one that would allow him to make a greater impact on his community while securing a future for his family.

Through Goodwill, Kendall found the support and training he needed to confidently take his next step. Goodwill Career Coaches helped him identify his strengths, refine his resume, and prepare for new professional opportunities.

“Goodwill has been more than just a program—it’s been a community of support, encouragement, and opportunity that helped me move closer to my vision of helping others on a broader scale,” Kendall shared.

Kendall encourages anyone in need of support to take the first step with Goodwill by expressing, “They meet you where you are, provide unwavering support, and guide you toward creating a brighter future for yourself and your family.”
